The public amenities are located on Level 0: ticket desk, shop, disabled toilets and cloakroom.

Lifts to Level 1 are located on both sides of the reception area on Level 0.

The garden and café are located on Level 1. Disabled toilets are available in the café. There is lift access to the mezzanine.

Emotional support animals accompanying visitors with a disability are welcome on presentation of a medical certificate.

Our reception staff are trained to cater for your needs. Please don’t hesitate to ask them if you need any information, directions or help.

VISITING THE MUSEUM

To make your visit as enjoyable as possible, the following equipment is available on loan from the reception desk on Level 0. Proof of identity must be shown.

  • Folding seats

Accessible aids for interpreting the museum’s architecture and sculptures are freely available in the galleries:

  • A model that explains the architecture of Petit Palais is located in the Reception Hall on Level 1 (not accessible to wheelchair users).
  • A touch table of sculpture material is located in the 19th Century Sculptors Gallery on Level 0.
  • A selection of tactile reproductions of animal statues is located in the 19th Century Sculptors Gallery on Level 0.
  • A tactile reproduction of a bust sculpture is located in the Dalou Rotunda Gallery on Level 0.

These aids may be temporarily unavailable or moved to accommodate displays of the permanent collections. Any member of staff in the gallery will be happy to show you these aids.

For an unguided tour, the new Petit Palais visitor app offers a variety of tours of the permanent collections. You can use the app remotely or in the museum, on Android or IOS. Free download from the  App Store  or Google Play.

Guided activities are provided by cultural development staff who are trained to cater for visitors with intellectual disabilities and mental disorders. Adapted guided tours and accessible sculptural workshops can be arranged upon request for groups (maximum 12, including companions and carers) and are scheduled for individual visitors on the dates published in the Programme of Events that you can download from the bottom of this page.

Group events in day-care centres and specialised institutions can be organised free of charge, depending on the capacity of the venue, thanks to the sponsorship by the Entreprendre pour Aider fund.
