Visitors with hearing impairments

ARRIVING AT THE MUSEUM
The accessible entrance is located on the ground floor, to the right of the external stairway at the front of the building.

ARRIVING AT THE MUSEUM

The building is almost entirely accessible to visitors with hearing impairments as it is equipped with special facilities, including an induction loop for visitors with hearing aids at some reception desks and ticket desks. The hall on Level 1 is not accessible to wheelchair users. You can download a map of the museum at the bottom of this page.

The public amenities (ticket desk, shop, toilets and cloakroom) are located on Level 0.

Lifts to the galleries on Level 1 are located on both sides of the reception area on the ground floor.

The garden and café are located on Level 1. There is lift access to the mezzanine.

Our reception staff are trained to cater for your needs. Please don’t hesitate to ask them if you need any information, directions or help.

VISITING THE MUSEUM

For an unguided tour, the new, accessible Petit Palais visitor app offers a variety of tours of the permanent collections, including an (international) sign language tour for sign language users. You can use the app remotely or in the museum, on Android or IOS. Free download from AppStore or Google Play

Guided activities are provided by cultural development staff who are trained to cater for visitors with hearing impairments. Lipspeaking tours can be arranged upon request for groups (maximum 12, including companions and carers) and are scheduled for individual visitors on the dates published in the Programme of Events that you can download from the bottom of this page.
Induction loops are available to enable hearing aid wearers to participate in all the activities organised by our cultural development staff.
