This icon depicts the main events described in Genesis, the first book of the Bible, from the creation of the world to the murder of Abel.
It should be read from top to bottom and from left to right. At the top are the first four days of creation, below are the fifth and sixth days and the sin of Adam and Eve, and at the bottom is the story of Cain and Abel. The central area is occupied by the seventh day of creation: “God rested after all the work that he had done and blessed it”.
